There are several ways you can help further the mission of Midwest Street Medicine. Learn more about our upcoming projects below and how you can help.

Our team dreams big! We are continuously evaluating the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and working to understand how we can better advocate for them. Some of the most imminent needs include medications to treat substance use disorder and wound care.

If you have other ideas for us, we're all ears. Please use the form below to connect with our team.

Expanding Our Reach

We rely fully on volunteers and donations to carry out our vision. If you have suggestions for how we can grow our funding and increase the sustainability of the program, connect with us below.

Medications to Treat Substance Use Disorder

Several medications exist which can help treat substance use disorder and opioid use disorder. Unfortunately, these medications are typically expensive and difficult to get due to few providers prescribing them. One of our primary goals is to reduce the barriers individuals encounter when trying to access these effective and evidence-based treatment options.

Wound Care Referrals

Treatment of acute wounds is a high need for individuals experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to receive referrals from health care providers and thus, improve wound care follow-up and decrease potential for infection.

If you are looking to join the volunteer program, financially contribute, or raise awareness, please use this form to contact us. A member of our team will get back to you as soon as possible. If you'd like to make a donation, please click on the "Donate Now" button at the top of the page. You can also donate via PayPal or by purchasing items on our Amazon Wishlist. Thank you for your support!
